South Church Roof Inspection – Portsmouth, NH

We recently conducted a roof inspection of the South Church, a landmark property in Portsmouth, New Hampshire that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The project documented and collected information on the existing roof conditions of the building. The church was then able to determine the cause of ice dams in winter, the condition of roof ridges and flashing, and where roof repair is immediately needed. This was performed at a fraction of the cost (and risk) of a complete on-roof inspection. Features of the church, not visible from street level were also re-discovered, such as cast bronze serpents that adorn the tops of the portico columns and pediments.
